Jesus is the reason for my existence. I tried to choose between being a bum or a musician, but then I realized they're the same thing. I'm addicted to coffee and Owl City. My purpose in life is to be all things to all people to lead some of them to Christ, and to love everyone to the hilt. I want to show you kindness like you've never seen before. I want to write a song for you. I wanna feel alive forever after.

Loooooooove is a beautiful thing ♥
There once was a young maiden who, on the thirteenth day of the third
month of the two thousand and tenth year, met someone who would forever change her life.
At first to her, he was just another young lad, who could maybe help her on her way to where she
needed to be. They had been talking for a while over letters, but they soon decided to
meet. So the young maiden set off to the theatre, where they planned to meet that
night to see a musical. The young lad had brought a few friends along with him,
and though they had seemed nice enough, the young maiden was a little uncomfortable.
She wasn't sure that she wanted to do this again, but she had promised the young lad
she would visit the church that he attended, at least once. You see, the young maiden
had been in church her whole life, and she held her love for the Lord dear. But as of
lately, it seemed like her church had been more set on who was more important, or
full of many talents. It seemed they didn't focus on the Almighty like she did, and she
had been searching desperately for another place. It seemed that she couldn't find one
that was right for her though. Many that she visited were lovely, but not for her. So
her search continued. One day she had cried out to the Lord,
"Dearest Lord, am I not supposed to be happy? What am I supposed to do? All I want
to do is serve you, in a place where it doesn't matter who has something more fancy
than someone else. I need somewhere nearby, somewhere for me to live my life
for you and to be accepted at the same time. If I may, I ask of thee to take said
matter into thine own hands. You know what I really, truly desire."
After that night, the young maiden stopped searching, and went about her life.
She knew the good Lord would provide in His time. And not long after that was
when she had met the young lad. She was rather curious, if this was God's answer to her
prayer. But yet, she was afraid. Afraid that she would not be accepted in the young
lads church. You see, they did things differently than where she had attended before.
Regardless, she decided since she had made a promise to visit it at least once, she would
be true to her word. There wasn't anything to be lost. For if she was judged, she would
just not return there.
The days passed by, and finally it was the day to visit the young lads church. When she
walked through the doors, she saw how lovely everything looked. Many greeted her with
warm greetings, and told her she looked lovely. Never had she felt so accepted and loved.
And when the services began, something inside of her just knew. This was where the good
Lord wanted her. This was it. She returned for the next service, and many more after that
and she had never been more content in her life. She even had her eye on a handsome
lad for a while. He appeared to be a knight, but she wasn't sure. Her friendship with the
young lad, and many others continued to grow.
As the months passed, the handsome lad turned out to be just like any other lad. This
disappointed the young maiden for she was rather lonely. She began to forget any
feelings she had for that lad, and one day something strange happened. The young lad
who had first invited her here, walked through the doors. But that isn't the strange thing.
For he commonly walked through those same doors. He appeared different, to the young
maiden. It was as if her eyes had been transfigured, and something inside had changed.
Her heart began to swell with happiness and warmth as he came over and their hands
brushed. What is this? The young maiden thought to herself. "I thought he was just like
every other young lad." Confusion swept over her, and she ignored it for the longest time.
She prayed to her dearest Lord many times about it, until one day the young lad went on
a trip to a faraway land. They wrote letters, while he was gone and she was heart sick. For
she missed him so. She soon found out that the young lad was stranded in this land, and
she begin to worry sick about him. Days passed, and he suddenly showed up at the next
service. She was overwhelmed with joy. She let all of her pride go and ran to him and
wrapped her arms around him. The young lad was in shock. The maiden couldn't
take it anymore. She let her words pour out like a waterfall, she told him of her feelings
for him and how worried she was, and just everything. He was amazed, you see the young
lad had feelings for her too. When she looked at him now, he appeared to glow. And they
soon decided they had to be together.
After that day, the young maidens life had changed forevermore. She talked to her love,
everyday. He was no longer just a young lad to her. She had come to discover that he was
a Prince, all along. Before, she had been blinded by her own selfish heart. But now, she was
happy. She had fallen in love with the young prince who had brought her here in the beginning.
There is still much to this story, that has yet to be told.
There's a bright future ahead for the young maiden and the prince,
as their love for each other grew much stronger with every passing day.

Gossip?
Gossip is like a old shoe the only thing that doesn't wear out is the tongue. -- Pastor Kermit Hall
If someone talks about someone else to you, they're gonna talk about you to someone else.
Don't converse with a gossip.
Live a life as clean as possible, so that they won't have anything to say
about you. And if they do gossip about you then, no one will believe them.
If someone gossips about you, don't do anything. Just live right, and they'll
soon come to see that whatever was said about you isn't true.
Also, I love my pastor. (:
I'd never trade him for any other pastor.
ha. He's awesome.

Drama Queens
hearts break when she says goodbye. Her innocent appearance fools many, they fall
for her games. In the end they're left with nothing, and she's the one to blame.
She's got the looks, and the style. Even a sense of humor that will make you smile.
She appears to be on the right track, but deep down it's a lie. She'll be your friend,
loyal and true, until you look away. She's got more than one face. They all say she's so
pretty, but she doesn't always act that way. If you get in her path, be prepared to be
torn down. Her dream is to be at the top, she'll tear you down and never stop.
So don't be a fool, and don't be dismayed. She's a drama queen who's far too good at
the wrong kind of game.

Really.
So, I hung out with my brother(from another mother of course)
Ted. We went to his house, and it was fun. He grilled some food,
and it was pretty awesome haha. Then I got to hear about his writing
and music and stuff, and we watched silly youtube videos.
And I snatcheded his hat :D
ha. Lots more happened. But, it's hard to remember when
I'm this tired.
I'm so inspired after a day with Ted.
He's full of so much talent that it rubbed off on me.
I started writing two stories tonight.
I may or may not post them on here.
Anywho, church in the morning!
I'm so excited. Drama practice after church.
Then for the rest of the day, nothing to do but
breathe, drink coffee, and write.
Hallelujah.

It makes me sad, but then makes me laugh.
I don't know which is worse.
But anyways, It's so ridiculous.
Examples? I have plenty.
-getting engaged after dating for only
2 weeks, and only knowing each other 2 months.
-Breaking up and getting back together again
5 times.
-Complaining about your situation, but doing
nothing to change it.
-Judging others and putting them down to make
yourself feel better.
It's immature really. And it makes me so sad.
But, I guess it happens, right?

So, I get awoken at like..
8am. To go to the fair.
I hadn't gone to bed
til late so I was super
tired, but I went anyways.
And boy am I glad I did.
I saw some church friends
there and hung out with
them. And it was awesome!
haha, I went on rides and I didn't even
pay for a wrist band or tickets xD
I had homemade ice cream and
a funnel cake, my stomach hurts.
But it was worth it.
So, after a long day of roaming around
the fair and such.. I'm now home..
have read my devotionals, played guitar..
and all that stuff. I have no idea what to
do now. It's only 8pm. Hm..
So yeah..

Random.
I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do—this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. Romans 7:18-21
I'm glad I can relate to the people in the bible. If they were all perfect and holy, I would be doomed. But even they had struggles, back then. We all try to do what is good, and it's our desire to do so. I mean, most of us anyways. But yet the flesh takes over and we do wrong, which is not what we want or intend to do. It ridiculous. It's always a war going on inside. But, there is a way to get through it. God has made a way, He is the way. In Him we can find the strength to do what is right.
I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
And in the end, we will win.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." John 16:33
"Untitled."
Just stop
Don't try to write my life for me
Please go
Cause I can't be what you want me to be
I'm tired
Of being told what's best for me
You don't know
Because my inside you have yet to see.
I don't want
To fit inside your stupid mold
To have
The same cookie cutter dreams
Like you
I have my own destiny.
I won't stop
I'll be who I am inside
I will go
Do what I'm meant to I'll never hide.
I'm ready
To change a life
I know
That this is worth a fight.
Don't let them
Make you into what they want
You have your own dreams
I will be blunt
Just live
Your own life.
You know the different between wrong and right.

Because I'm happy now and there's nothing to write about but the past and future.
So without further ado, here's a crappy poem.
Untitled, by; Christina Shumard
It's hard to imagine it's been so long,
Since I've heard you sing a single song
Since you have been gone.
Didn't think I would make it, let go of my fears
But now it's been a few good years.
The pain was there for a little while,
I would hide in my room and cry like a child.
Listening to the rain beat on the shingles,
Of this house, in this town where no dream is let live.
You had taught me one good lesson, to forgive.
And that is how I've made it so far,
I forgave you, forgot all those short drives in your car.
Those times you made me smile, made me feel confident,
I always felt so beautiful, and you seemed heaven sent.
But I learned that even bad things can come from there,
Like satan himself, feeling superior destroys things my dear.
You've been gone for long, and I hope you're glad
I know I am, I've forgotten words that were said.
The constant memories left my heart,
and now I can live in peace.
Without your voice and sad memories constantly haunting me.
God brought me there, and He led me out
The lessons I've learned will always be remembered
And now I will take a new route.
The rain doesn't beat on my house anymore,
The sun shines through the windows, and kid, I'm out the door.

Compared to my usual days.
I went down to the lake house and
went on a hike alone. Didn't get
much thinking done though.
I played some guitar, played
with crawfish, and took a nap.
Then I stopped at Ken and
Carol's. They weren't there but
as I was leaving they pulled in.
I showed Ken the song I wrote
that I'll be singing next year in
Tennessee.. he was happy about it.
We all chatted for a bit, and eventually
I headed down the road. Then got mcdonalds.
I really need to cut back on that.
My arteries are getting clogged.
Too much. So.. now I'm exhausted.
Church tomorrow, Fair Thursday.

Short story thing by me xD
don't think that a simple problem is the end of the world." He replied, as he walked over and fell onto the grass. Shelly sat beside him, and he looked up to the passing clouds. "Well, Vince, what would you say the end of the world is?" Shelly glanced at him as he turned to look at her and smiled. "The end of the world to me, well. It's different for me than it is for others." He replied. "Oh really? How?" Vince appeared to be thinking about this for a moment, before he spoke. "Well you see, could you imagine one person being the whole world to you?" He asked, as he took her hand.
"Actually, I can." Shelly smiled. "Do you have a pen?" Vince's question surprised Shelly, but she reached into her bag and handed him a pen. He smiled at her, and wrote something on the inside of his hand. "That's what I'm meaning. Everything else could fall apart, but as long as I had this one person, everything would be okay, I would still have MY world." Vince replied, and Shelly lifted her eyebrow. "Who is your world, Vince?" Vince smiled at her, but didn't say a word. Instead he revealed what he had wrote on his hand for her to see.
His hand said 'You.'

She stumbles.
Praying to God to mend her,
Give her enough strength to fly.
Shattered wings,
She falls to the ground,
Shes no angel,
And everyone knows.
A simple mistake,
A large flaw,
They see it all,
And all she can do is apologise.
She has fallen,
So far from grace,
But all they do is watch,
And criticize her every move.
It hurts her,
Every time she falls,
Every blow she takes,
They will never know.
She prays for mended wings,
And sometimes a mended heart,
Hope.
Its all she has left.
With shattered wings,
She attepmts to fly,
Only to fall once again,
And get back up.
Maybe this time she will fly,
Only for you she will,
Running across a meadow,
She never gives up.
Maybe this time she's gonna fly solo.

My weekend.
I'm going to tell you about my interesting life.
The talent show was awesome.
I was so nervous when they called my name
my legs were shaking the entire time and
I thought I would drop my guitar. I so wanted to run off stage and forget
it. But, I did it. And some people said I was amazing O.o
I almost died when everyone clapped. To add to it, now I get to
sing in front of 2500 people next year. Or something :)
That's gonna be a lot more nerve wracking. But wow.
That's exciting.
So, then I stayed with some people, and we woke
up super early.. which was pretty sad. 5 hours of sleep.
Then I had coffee which made me feel super good.
We set off to head to cedar point. I was a wimp at first,
but in the end I ended up going on some awesome roller
coasters and such :) It was the halloweekends, and..
we walked through fog with "scary" people jumping out
at you. It was hilarious. I laughed. Some girls cried :(
ha..
I stayed with friends again, then woke up... only 10 minutes
to get ready.. which was gross. I didn't take a shower xD
but, alas we made it to church an hour and a half early and
I sat through the leadership meeting. It was actually nice.
And oh my goodness, church! Woo hoo hallelujah! God really
moved. A guy went up to get prayed for to get the holy ghost
and we ended up using a lot of the service time praying for him,
but praise and worship was amazing! I was dancing around praising
God. The holy ghost fire was falling. I hadn't felt so happy in a while.
Wow. We still had a little service and it was awesome. I then came
home and slept. Ahh <33 I have a huge bag of pretzel m&ms.
I'm proud to be an addict xD
So, I think that was my weekend.
And boy was it awesome.

Honestly people, you are crazy if you'd rather watch guys
chase after each other and toss a ball around instead of
go to church.
ha (:
So, talent show tonight.
I'm gonna sing and play meh geetarrr.
Should be fun. I O.D.'d on coffee..
:D
I'm wearing a cool hat.
I really feel like dancing.

Short story by me :D
but yet they still treat each other terrible. They treat each other like they're
worthless, or stupid. I don't understand it." Shelly said, as she walked down the moonlit street.
But not by herself. Never by herself did she walk on such beautiful nights. Vince stopped beside
her as they leaned over the guardrail over the river, and watched the moon ripple in the water.
"I have noticed. More than that,I've lived through it." Shelly looked up at him, but he continued
to stare at the water. "What do you mean?" She asked. Vince sighed, and pondered. "I dunno, Shell. People just don't treat others well. I wasn't always treated well. I didn't always have you."
He smiled and took her hand. "I don't see why people don't try harder. Life would be so much nicer, so much more wonderful, if we could all learn to love. Love is more than a word." reaching into his pocket, Vince pulled out a gum wrapper. Shelly looked like she had a thought, but then
gave him a confused look when he held it up. "A piece of trash?" She asked. "Ah, a piece of trash to some-" he paused, and folded the wrapper and twisted it. "but to others, a piece of art." replied Vince, handing her a ring that was once a wrapper. "Creative." She laughed. "I guess a lot of people view things differently. And love will always be more than a word. Some people just
won't realize that actions speak louder than words." as Shelly slipped the wrapper on her finger, Vince chuckled. "True my darling. But I realize it, and you know what?" Looking down at her, he smiled. "What?" She asked. He then wrapped his arms around her and kissed her.

Jesus Christ vs. Allah
Some religions are very cruel. Even some christian faiths are cruel. The Amish disown their children if they leave the faith. But even worse, Muslims kill their children if they leave the faith. Some misinterpret the bible but some things cannot be; you judge.
Here are some comparisons from the Koran, and the Bible.
Koran- women: (muslims who backslide) [4.89]
But if they turn back, then seize them and kill them
wherever you find them, and take not from among
them a friend or a helper.
Compare: New Testament bible Galatians 6:1
Brothers, if someone is caught in a sin, you who are spiritual should restore him gently.
But watch yourself, or you also may be tempted.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Koran;
2:190-191
"Fight in the cause of Allah those who fight and persecute you,
but commit no aggression... and slay them when and where you get
the better of them."
Bible, New Testament;
Matthew 5:7
"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy."
Matthew 5:9
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall
be called sons of God."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Koran;
2:193
"Fight them until persecution is no
more and religion is for Allah."
2:216
"Fighting has been ordained for you."
Bible, New Testament;
1 Peter 3:9
"Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult,
but with blessing, because to this you were called
so that you may inherit a blessing."
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Koran;
2:244
"Fight in the cause of Allah."
3:12
"Say to those who disbelieve,
"you shall soon be overcome and gathered
together to be driven towards hell."
3:32
"Allah does not love the disbelievers."
Bible, New Testament;
Matthew 5:43-45
You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Koran;
3:141
"And Allah will wipe off the
disbelievers gradually."
3:148
"Lord grant us victory over the
disbelieving people."
Bible, New Testament;
Matthew 5:38-39
You have heard that it was said, 'Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.'But I tell you, Do not resist an evil person. If someone strikes you on the right cheek, turn to him the other also.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Koran;
3:151-152
"We shall certainly strike terror into the hearts
of those who have disbelieved, and certainly
Allah had made good his promise to you when you
were slaying them to pieces by his permission."
4:74
"Let those who would prefer the hereafter to the
present life, fight in the cause of Allah."
4:76-77
"Fight against the friends of satan,
Fighting has been made binding."

Bible, New Testament;
1 Thessalonians 5:15
"See that none of you repays evil for evil,

1 Peter 2:20-23
But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.
"He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth."When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.

"Do not repay anyone evil for evil. Be careful to do what is right in the eyes of everybody. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"
says the Lord. On the contrary:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
if he is thirsty, give him something to drink.
In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head."
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."

"I will indeed strike terror into the hearts of
those who disbelieve. So smite on your enemy's necks

"And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.' In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents."
John 3:16-17
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him."
1 John 4:11
"Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to
love one another."

Jesus is the only way. America is a Christian nation and I suggest we start
trying to keep it that way. I would rather serve God than Allah.

Random..
with my diary tonight for the first time in two weeks, but..
I guess I'll do a blog post anyways.
Pretending is so much fun sometimes. But then again,
it's not. It's stupid. Pretending gives false hope, false expectation,
and too much faith in people.
No one is always gonna be the perfect person, or
everything you need. I try to leave that to God.
Though sometimes fairy tales catch ahold of me,
and I pretend things.
And end up disappointed.
But you know, life goes on. And it's sure wonderful.
And even though people aren't perfect,
some of them still do a pretty good job of putting a smile on my face.
Do not judge, and you will not be judged,
do not condemn and you will not be condemned,
forgive, and you will be forgiven.

A sort of rant thing..
But yet, I hear people around me complaining.
About how sad they are, about how boring things
are. I think "Why would they say that? Things are amazing!"
But then I remember I used to be pretty bummed too.
Life isn't about feelings, or yourself.
It's about making other people happy.
And in that, you yourself will become a happier person.
Do unto others as you would have them do to you.
Why would you want to hear something that isn't real?
Why would you want words to be twisted?
Why would you want to hide the truth?
Believing in things that don't last won't get you anywhere.
Twisting things up or causing drama will only come back to get you.
Hiding truth inside, from yourself, from others doesn't work.
You can base your whole life on something that isn't real,
that is a lie, just to feel better. But doing that makes things bottle
up inside, and eventually you explode or cry into your pillow every night.
I was there once.
Even if truth hurts, it has to come out. Would you want to live a lie?
Live on a foundation that will not stand forever? Live in fear that you
will be found out?
No.
Sure, it will hurt for a while. But in the long run it's always worth it.
Honesty. Truth. Being real.
It's the only way for things to work.
For real.

Truth
If you're truthful, you have no lies to remember.
A lie can make someone smile sometimes,
but even if the truth makes them cry it's what's best.
Lies are always found out. Always. Whether it be tomorrow
or 10 years from now.
I see no use in lying.
Truth will prevail in the end.
I've got something' to say
I wanna get it straight
Before the sun goes down
Just between you and me
Confession needs to be made
Recompense is my way to freedom now
Just between you and me
I've got something to say
If confession is the road to healing
Forgiveness is the promised land
I'm reaching out in my conviction
I'm longing to make amends
So, I'm sorry for the words I've spoken
For I've betrayed a friend
We've got a love that's worth preserving
And a bond I will defend
